We made it!!! On June 23rd we left Hawaii for Europe and after 36ish hours in airports and planes (without hotel stays) we are here!!!!!!

After we checked into our hotel we hit the park in the "backyard" of the hotel. It felt SOOO GREAT to just kick back and MOVE AROUND!!!!!
Our flights were good except James had a tummy bug and threw up so many times I lost count. After our first 6-hour fight from Hawaii to L.A. we considered turning back ... except we had checked our bags to Germany and had to go get them. So, we pressed on and after hours upon hours upon hours we finally arrived in Germany. (To make it easier I would just tell myself we'd be on each flight for a full day so when 6 or 7 hours would go by and our plane would land I'd be all surprised. : ) --Flying over 2 oceans and a continent and a half all at once WITH KIDS and NO SLEEP takes a lot of patience!!!!) ---On the last hour of our Paris-Germany flight, James got over his bug almost immediately and then was so excited!! He and Ashley were bouncing off plane seats by the time we touched down!!!! In a way the bug was a blessing in disguise 'cause I don't think we could've dealt with keyed-up kids the whole time!!!!
Ava was a "lap baby" and didn't have her own seat at all. And with her and a throw up bag needing to be held 24/7 it was kind of tough!!! --Not to mention Brad and I were so SLEEP DEPRIVED!!!!!
So, when we got here we were all smiles!!!! --Wonderful, silly, goofy, and super happy smiles. : )

WooHoo!! :) Glad you made it!! We have been thinking about you. Fun Fun pictures to post too - hope you are having a good time together. Cute pictures of the kids - the last one is especially cute - they are all looking at the camera and smiling! :) Cute, happy kids!
WoW! We went to Europe 2 years ago with Maxine and Jack and I remember the flight being interesting. The time change was hard for Jack to adjust to. He kept waking up at 3 a.m. thinking he'd just had a nap and was ready to go. Did you guys go over to meet a missionary or something or just for fun?! Hope the rest of the trip goes better!
Wow! What brave people you are. I thought flying to Disneyland was hard. So why are you traveling to Europe?
I am glad that you guys made it! It has to be tough with 3 kiddos. I hope that you guys have a great time. Is it a work or fun trip? Cute photos of the kids. Talk to you soon.
Man are you brave. But it sounds like it would be an awesome trip. Have a great time and I hope that you survive the flight back as well.
Sara love the photos (especially the one of you being goofy) look forward to seeing more of the photos from the trip.
Love you Duffer
