A tornado hit our town yesterday!
It lasted less than 15 minutes but sent a golf course worker to the hospital and picked up and flung a golf cart!
It started about 1:00 in the afternoon and fizzled out several minutes later. It was a blessing it did! School ended at 1:15!! And the tornado blew itself out about 2 blocks away from the school (and 3 blocks from our house)!!
Ashley, Ava and I saw the 'before' signs of flower petals and debris falling out of the sky. Then as we drove the car to go pick up James I saw a huge, purple "V" shaped blob in the dark blue skies, but didn't think anything of it. -Because tornados happen in the Midwest, not in Hawaii! Right? : )
We got a bit wet and a little breeze : ) but we were all safe. By the time we got home things were all sunny again!

Is this totally unusual for Hawaii? Was it on all the news stations? Wow!
i saw a headline about this but didn't know where it was in relation to you guys...pretty close!! glad all is well. since we sent you some of our tornado can you send us some of your sunshine :)
